BREAKING ALERT
April 23, 2026
Subject: Fuel Related Increase – Hawaii Operations
Dear Valued Customer,
Due to recent market developments impacting fuel costs and the Hawaii Transportation Association’s (HTA)receiving approval from the Public Utilities Commission (PUC)for rate adjustments under the Zone of Reasonableness program, we are announcing upcoming changes to our delivery rates.
Effective Monday, June 1, a temporary 4% increase will apply to DHX on-island delivery rates and related accessorial charges in Honolulu, Maui, and Kona. While the PUC approved an increase of up to 10%, we have limited this adjustment to 4% to minimize the impact on our customers. This is intended as a temporary, stabilizing measure rather than a permanent rate hike.
Additionally, effective Monday, June 1, our Hilo delivery agent, Hitco, will implement a permanent 5% increase on delivery rates and related accessorial charges.
We will continue to monitor market conditions and adjust the temporary 4% increase as trends evolve.
If you have any questions, please contact your local office, our Corporate Customer Service Center at 800-488-4888 (Ext. 2020), your sales account executive, or email us at custserv@dhx.com.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Best regards,
David Bartelt
