Dear Valued Customer,

We're writing to inform you that the state Public Utilities Commission has approved an 18.1% temporary rate increase for Young Brothers LLC (YB), effective Tuesday, July 1. This adjustment is in response to YB's claims of financial distress and its need to maintain essential interisland shipping services.

This approved increase is lower than the 25% requested initially by YB. It will be in effect until December 31, or until Young Brothers' pending general rate case is resolved, whichever comes first.

The increase will be applied to all related inter-island shipments starting July 1. We will keep you posted on any future developments or a final resolution.
