DHX - Dependable Hawaiian Express

The following is provided for your information:
 
It’s That Time of Year
 
As is the past practice, the Alaska ocean carriers have announced their General Rate Increases (GRI’s). In response to the rate increases being imposed on the Alaskan Market and DAX-Dependable Alaskan Express, we will be implementing rate increases effective January 1^st, 2022. Your account managers will be in contact to discuss further details.
 
Holiday Schedules

In observation of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, the DAX-Dependable Alaskan Express Kent office will be closed on Friday, December 24th, and Friday, December 31st.
 
For Christmas week, we will have sailings to Alaska on Wednesday, December 22nd, and Friday, December 24^th. The cargo cutoff for the Friday voyage for K.F.F., hazardous and refrigerated freight, is 10:00 A.M., and for dry cargo, the cutoff is 2:00 P.M on Thursday, December 23^rd. Any shipments that sail on December 22^nd will continue to deliver as scheduled. For any shipments that sail on December 24^th, deliveries will commence on Wednesday and Thursday, December 29^th December 30^th, and continue through Monday and Tuesday, January 3^rd and 4^th, 2022. 
 
For New Year’s week, we will have one sailing to Alaska on Wednesday, December 29^th, with deliveries as usually scheduled. We will be open on Thursday, December 30th, and closed Friday, December 31st. Any cargo received on Thursday will sail on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022. Coronavirus
 
There is so much news available, and we felt it was not necessary to comment other than to state that from the U.S. Mainland, there have been no delays impacting Alaska. Imports from Asia are still experiencing delays as a result of some ocean carriers canceling sailings, thus impacting air freight capacity.
