Pay Range: $23 - $25/HR

We are seeking to fill a Dispatcher position within our Hayward Terminal.

We are a Freight Forwarder shipping goods to and from the Hawaiian Islands and Guam. This position oversees the dispatch of five trucks and drivers, and facilitates timely pickup or delivery of freight. 

  • Establishes a good working relationship with all customers (both internal & external).
  • Follow and maintain the Company's Quality Policy and Procedures.
  • Emails are worked first come first serve (assigning to dept from the current email management system).
  • Answers the Dispatch Department phones.
  • Takes pickup orders and enters them into the System.
  • Verifies quotes prior to dispatching an order.
  • Follows up on orders dispatched to driver or vendor. Notify the customer of the delay prior to the expected appointment time.
  • Keeps the daily driver logs of all pickups and deliveries, filed by the driver.
  • Monitors the Dispatch Control Board to ensure orders are being dispatched in time to meet customer apt.
  • Coordinates FCL orders.
  • Participates in training events as required for transitioning new personnel.
  • Keeps BIT inspections updated on a 90-day or less basis.
  • Schedules Eastbound shipments for will/call and delivery.
