Hawaii, Guam, and Micronesia Ocean Fuel Surcharge Increase

Matson Navigation Company ("Matson") announced that they are raising their fuel surcharge by 1.5 percentage points, from 16.5% to 18% for their Hawaii service, effective with sailings on or after July 10, 2016. Matson is also raising their fuel surcharge for Guam/CNMI and Micronesia services by 1.5 percentage points. Guam will be increased from 17% to 18.5% and Micronesia from 22% to 23.5%, effective July 10, 2016. As a result, we are passing these surcharges on as a fuel surcharge that is charged to you based on your ocean rates.

By doing this, we are able to maintain our service levels as well as the financial stability you would expect and want from your service provider. We will continue to closely monitor the ocean carrier announcements and will adjust the fuel surcharge as it changes.
