Credit Card Convenience Fee
As a convenience to our Customers, a few years back we started offering the use of credit cards as a means of paying us monies owed to the Company. However, the cost of processing such cards was never included in our rates or charges. With the increasing popularity of mileage and point programs, many of our Customers have started to pay with credit cards, causing us to absorb hundreds of thousands of dollars of merchant fees which are not/were not included in our rate base. Accordingly, effective May 1, 2010, we now charge a 3% Convenience Fee for those Customers who opt to pay by credit card.
